Ask your teacher to present an audio drama podcast in class
Now that you know what an audio drama is, it is time to create an audio drama based on "The Story of the Lightning and the Thunder".
The goal is to narrate and act out the story, while also incorporating sound effects like thunder and lightning to make it engaging. This activity will help you practice pronunciation, intonation, and expression in English while reflecting on cultural and social representations in the story.
Steps:
1.Plan Your Audio Drama:
-
Discuss the story and decide how you will divide roles (narrators, characters, sound effects creators).
-
Think about how you can reimagine parts of the story critically, focusing on diversity, representation, and inclusion.
2.Record Your Audio Drama:
-
Use Vocaroo (or any other audio recording tool) to record your group’s performance.
-
Add sound effects using your voices, objects, or digital tools to make the story immersive.
-
Make sure everyone in the group participates actively in narration or sound creation.
3.Edit and Share:
-
Listen to your recording and re-record if necessary to improve clarity and expression.
-
Once your audio drama is complete, download it or share the link with your teacher.
